Privacy Policy

TeeSheet TC ("we", "our", or "the app") aggregates publicly available golf tee times in the Twin Cities metro. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

When you use TeeSheet TC, we collect:

GPS location: Device location (only with your permission) to find courses near you and sort results by distance.
Search queries: Date, time window, location, and radius sent to our API server to return tee time results.
IP address: Seen briefly by our API server for rate limiting and error logging. Not retained beyond the request.
Crash and error reports: If the app crashes or hits an unexpected error, a diagnostic report (stack trace, device model, OS version, app version) is sent to our error-tracking service to help us fix bugs. These reports do not contain your location, search history, or any personally identifying information.
Ad identifiers: Collected by Google AdMob to serve and measure ads (free tier only).
Purchase data: Managed by RevenueCat to determine your subscription status (Free or Pro).
App preferences: Favorite courses, search defaults, and theme stored locally on your device.

2. What We Do NOT Collect

Names, email addresses, or phone numbers
User accounts or login credentials
Contacts, photos, or other personal files
Browsing history outside the app
Location when the app is in the background

3. How We Use Your Data

Location data is used solely to calculate distances to golf courses and sort search results. We do not store your location history on our servers.
Search queries are processed in real time and are not retained after the response is returned.
App preferences are stored entirely on your device and are not sent to our servers.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Google AdMob — Displays rewarded interstitial ads for free-tier users. AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP address, and ad interaction data. Pro subscribers do not see ads. Google Privacy Policy
RevenueCat — Manages in-app subscriptions ($4.99/month or $39.99/year). Processes purchase data through the app stores. RevenueCat Privacy Policy
Sentry — Receives crash and error diagnostic reports so we can detect and fix bugs. Reports include stack traces, device model, OS version, and app version, but not your location, searches, or personal information. Sentry Privacy Policy
Railway — Hosts our API server and database. Railway may see request metadata (IP, timestamps) transiently as part of operating the infrastructure. Railway Privacy Policy

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Data Retention

Location and search data: Not stored on our servers. Used only in real time.
IP addresses: Seen transiently by our API server for rate limiting. Not retained beyond the request.
Crash reports: Retained by Sentry for up to 90 days and then automatically deleted.
Local preferences: Stored on your device until you clear app data or uninstall.
Purchase records: Managed by RevenueCat and the app stores per their retention policies.
Ad data: Managed by Google AdMob per their retention policies.

6. Your Choices

Location: Deny or revoke location permission at any time in your device settings. You can manually set a search location instead.
Ads: Upgrade to Pro to remove all ads and ad tracking.
Ad personalization: Opt out through your device's privacy settings ("Limit Ad Tracking" on iOS, "Opt out of Ads Personalization" on Android).
Local data: Clear all stored preferences by clearing app data or uninstalling.

7. Data Security

We use HTTPS for all communication between the app and our servers. While no system is perfectly secure, we take reasonable measures to protect the limited data we handle.

8. Children's Privacy

TeeSheet TC is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
